CorreLog announces extended support for securing SAP data with latest...

Latest release of CorreLog's Agent for SAP version 5.5 monitors more than 80 SAP audit events related to user access for security and compliance violations and in real time, can convert SAP user events to Syslog format for the CorreLog SIEM or any other SIEM system.

CorreLog, the leader in multi-platform IT security event log management, today announced enhanced support for SAP on Windows®, expanding the number of user event messages its Agent for SAP can convert to Syslog format for Security Event and Information Management (SIEM) systems. In real time, the CorreLog Agent for SAP converts SAP user audit codes to Syslog message format for inclusion into the CorreLog SIEM system or any other SIEM system. With the Agent for SAP installed, security administrators can view SAP user activity alongside other SIEM data in dashboards within their enterprise security operations consoles.

CorreLog's Agent for SAP can track user logon successes and failures, user status changes, start/failed transactions, logon/logoff times, password changes from clients, and dozens of other user access audit events. The Agent for SAP installs in minutes in an easy-to-configure download package and includes complete support documentation for installation and configuration of the interface.

"SAP is a world leader in software, delivering the most critical enterprise applications to the largest organizations in the world and the amount of sensitive data running through SAP is surely staggering," said George Faucher, CorreLog president and CEO. "With so many breaches making news headlines every day, the SAP platform is without a doubt a primary target for malicious hackers. This Agent arms security administrators with another tool in their SIEM arsenal to protect their data centers."

The number of SAP message codes the CorreLog Agent for SAP can monitor and send to SIEM systems can be extended by an SAP administrator with a simple configuration file executed in a Windows GUI. The Agent can also monitor debug events that can help determine the performance and availability of the SAP system. Multi-language support is available with the CorreLog Agent for SAP, including double-byte character.

CorreLog provides a wide range of event log monitoring with its Agent for SAP, the CorreLog SIEM Correlation Server, the CorreLog SIEM Agent for IBM z/OS and other pure software-based products gives enterprise-to-SMB sized organizations the ability to track potential threat across both mainframe and distributed servers, routers, firewalls, applications, databases, and mobile devices/tablets. The event logging capability CorreLog solutions provides is inclusive of both physical and virtual environments.
