CorreLog, Inc. Announces Sponsorships, Educational Speaking Sessions...

CorreLog joins Vanguard Integrity Professionals and IBM with speaking sessions geared towards professional education of RACF best practices for improving IBM z/OS security at KOIRUG and RUGONE events.

CorreLog, the leader in multi-platform IT security event log management, today announced two RACF User Group sponsorships this week at the Kentucky-Ohio-Indiana RACF User Group (KOIRUG) and the Northeast U.S. RACF User Group (RUGONE). KOIRUG will take place at Cincinnati Financial Corporation, Fairfield, Ohio on June 2, while RUGONE will take place at Publick House Historic Inn, Sturbridge, Massachusetts on June 4.

KOIRUG was created in 2003 to serve the professional education needs of the RACF community in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. Typically, KOIRUG holds full-day meetings twice a year and these meetings take place in the Cincinnati area. For more information on KOIRUG, please contact Barb Rhoads with Cincinnati Financial Corporation, at (513) 870-2000 ext. 4457.

RUGONE was created in 1987 to serve the professional education needs of the RACF community in the Northeastern U.S., and holds full-day meetings twice a year. RUGONE usually meets in Sturbridge, MA. For more information on RUGONE, please contact David Bell with The Hartford, at (860) 403-5848.

"Mainframe systems are one of the most strategic assets in an enterprise datacenter, and as such are a prime target for cyber criminals," said George Faucher, CorreLog president and CEO. "Our goal is to assist with educating users that a product they are using daily - RACF - can be leveraged to lower the risk of exposure to their mainframe data."

CorreLog will deliver an educational presentation titled "Bridge the Gap: How to Use a Product you Already Own to Enhance z/OS Security" at both KOIRUG and RUGONE. The presentation is designed to show how Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms enjoy the benefits of real-time event correlation and alerts for IT security, but the technology has been lacking for mainframe systems. This "gap" in security can be reduced by collecting RACF data and in real time, sending the data to a distributed SIEM system. CorreLog SIEM Agent for IBM z/OS can also convert ACF2 and Top Secret event messages in real time for SIEM systems and the solution has certified integrations with IBM® Security QRadar® (LEEF) and HP ArcSight (CEF). More information on the SIEM Agent for z/OS can be found here.

If you would like a copy of the CorreLog presentation for these RACF User Groups, please contact CorreLog here.
